Scope of application

The Multi-purpose coating and laminating machine is designed for production of dot application for bonding and lamination. The multi-purpose application head allows easy and fast change over between two different application systems.

 

The following two application systems are integral parts of the unit:

1. Multi roller system. Gap-pre dosing position which is useful for a full cover coating structure or for an open coating structure with plain roller. 

2. Gravure roller system. Can be with both positive blade position and negative blade position. 

 

Process technology

The multi-purpose system consists of a revolver-dosing-head and a gravure roller which will be used as an application roller.

The revolver-dosing-head can be adjusted in three different working positions against the gravure application roller.

Negative blade position for PUR hot melt for dot coating with gravure roller

 

 

Positive blade position for PUR hot melt and thermoplastic adhesive for dot coating with gravure roller.

Higher filling factor by pressing the glue into the steps by positive blade position, therefore higher coating weight (approx. 30%) with the same step volume as volume with negative blade position.

 

 

 

Hot Melt Adhesive:

 

In industrial use, hot melt adhesives provide several advantages over solvent-based adhesives. Volatile organic compounds are reduced or eliminated, and the drying or curing step is eliminated. Hot melt adhesives have long shelf life and usually can be disposed of without special precautions.

 

The most advanced hot melt adhesive, moisture reactive hot melt glue (PUR & TPU), is highly adhesive and environmentally friendly. It can be used for lamination of 99.9% textiles. The laminated material is soft and high temperature resistant. After moisture reaction, the material will not be easily affected by the temperature. Besides, with lasting elasticity, the laminated material is wear resistant, oil resistant and aging resistant. Especially, mist performance, neutral color and other various features of PUR makes medical industry application possible.
